Friday, FOS broke the first commitment of the weekend with Deon'tae Pannell, the 6-foot-5, 300-pound Michigan offensive lineman. Pannell selected Penn State over in-state programs Michigan State and Michigan. Quote Note: "They were really excited and said that I played a position of need for them."
Saturday Scout was on hand for the press conference of Michael Shaw, the 6-foot, 187-pund Ohio running back who selected PSU over Tennessee, Michigan and West Virginia. Although the commitment was not necessarily a shock, fans were pleased that it finally came to PSU.
Quote Note: "And the fans at Penn State were also a huge factor. Being that supportive and loving Penn State football that much, I would just love to be a part of that."
Sunday FOS broke a commitment that caught everyone by surprise. James Terry, a 6-foot-2, 294-pound defensive tackle from Delaware pledged to PSU over Temple, Delaware State and Towson. This was a pledge made back in late July.
Quote Note: "Coach Johnson was a big part of why I picked Penn State."
