Lineman Names Six

Martin O'Donnell lists his six favorite teams. He also discusses Penn State and talks about the chances of him taking a visit to Happy Valley.

Name: Martin O'Donnell
Position: OL
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 290 pounds
40-yard dash: 5.2
School: South HS, Downers Grove, IL

Martin plays offensive tackle and sometimes guard during short yardage situations for South High School.  He has offers from 15 colleges to play on the offensive side of the ball.

South is perfect in their first 5 games so far this season largely due to Martin's efforts.  He estimated that he has around 30 pancake blocks so far this year.

Although O'Donnell does not have a clear favorite right now, he did name his current favorites.

"I like Illinois, Stanford, Nebraska, Penn State, Oregon and probably Iowa," Marin said.

All of those schools have offered the big man a scholarship.

"I've visited all of those except for Penn State and Oregon.  I have an official visit set up to Illinois on December 6.  I'm not particularly sure which others I'll visit yet."

Coach Ron Vanderlinden is recruiting Martin to play for Penn State.

Distance to a prospective school is "not really that big of a factor" for Martin.
