Williams Runs Away With FOS POG vs. Purdue

With hundreds of votes cast for the FightOnState.com Player of the Game honor against Purdue, Derrick Williams' two-touchdown performance won the honor for him in a landslide.

Despite a write-in effort from fans for Sean Lee, who grabbed Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors, Derrick Williams grabbed an amazing 72 percent of the hundreds of votes cast by PSU fans.

Williams had a big day for the Nittany Lions, grabbing 10 catches for 95 yards (9.5 YPC) and one receiving touchdown and carrying the ball twice for 21 yards (10.5 YPC), including an impressive end-around touchdown run. See a breakdown of the end-around play here.
