Mark Wedderburn, the 6-foot-7, 240-pound senior tight end from Cardinal O'Hara has elected to continue his career at Penn State according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Said to have an impressive combination of size, speed and agility, Mark Wedderburn
possesses very soft hands and is a solid target in the red zone. The Cardinal O'Hara captain caught 26 passes this past season, for 386 yards and a touchdown. As a junior he caught 24 passes for 354 yards and five touchdowns.
Known for his finesse rather than physical style of play, Wedderburn has a frame many feel could easily carry 10 to 20 more pounds. Wedderburn is often split out by Cardinal O'Hara and will have to work on his overall power and blocking ability.
Wedderburn, the younger brother of former Penn State offensive lineman Floyd Wedderburn, had offers from Florida, Michigan, West Virginia, Tennessee, Rutgers and Louisville.
