Recruiting Chat Recap

FOS Recruiting Analyst Cory James hosted another of his regular Recruiting Chats on Tuesday evening. Get a recap of his updates on players like E.J. Manuel and Boubacar Cissoko right here.

Cory James hosted another of his regular Recruiting Chats covering Penn State's recruiting efforts with the Class of 2008 and beyond. Here is a recap of the highlights of Cory's chat:

Boubacar Cissoko: Cissoko will sit down with newly appointed Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez as soon as they are allowed to meet and talk about things. Unless something drastic happens, Cissoko will stick with his commitment and not visit PSU.

If, however, after the meeting he wants to take some visits, PSU will definitely be among his destinations. Cissoko has wanted to go to Michigan since the eighth grade though, so it doesn't look like he will leave, even with coaching changes.

A.J. Alexander: Alexander said that no one has told him that his scholarship offers to Penn State was pulled. He also said that a Pitt coach even called him and said they heard the rumor but wanted to tell him that his offer was still on the table.

There has been no word on a change with his PSU offer, according to Alexander, but he says he is under the impression that the offer is still there. He also touched base with Florida State recently and they will be visiting him in January. Right now he just has a Pitt visit scheduled for January 12th. I would guess that he ends up at FSU, but that is just me reading the tea leaves.

E.J. Manuel: Manuel has said that he is still a solid commitment to Florida State, as expected. I wouldn't expect him to seriously look around unless Coach Jimbo Fisher would leave FSU, which is unlikely.
