Week 17 & Season NFL Wrap

As the playoffs loom, we look back on how the former Nittany Lions did in the NFL during the 2007 regular season.

Anthony Adams (DT, CHI)
Score: Bears 22, Saints 25.
Notes: Adams has been placed on injured reserve with an elbow problem in November. He finished 2007 with 26 tackles and a half of a sack.

Jay Alford (DT, NYG)
Score: Patriots 38, Giants 35.
Notes: Alford did not record any statistics in the loss, but he was the team's long snapper from opening day. He finished the season with only one tackle, but that one tackle was also a sack.

Kyle Brady (TE, NE)
Score: Patriots 38, Giants 35.
Notes: Brady missed the regular season finale with an ankle injury, but he ended the year with nine catches for 70 yards and two TDs for New England, which became the first team in NFL history to go 16-0 entering the playoffs.

Levi Brown (OT, ARI)
Score: Cardinals 48, Rams 19.
Notes: Brown and the Cardinals missed the playoffs but finished 8-8 and seem ready to make a jump in the coming years.

Kerry Collins (QB, TEN)
Score: Titans 16, Colts 10.
Notes: Collins relieved an injured Vince Young and proceeded to go 10 of 13 for 106 yards in securing the Titans a playoff berth with a win. As a backup, he started only one game and played in six and finished 50 of 82 for 531 yards and a 79.9 rating with no TDs and no INTs. He could play in Sunday's wildcard matchup with San Diego.

Eddie Drummond (WR, KC)
Score: Jets 13, Chiefs 10.
Notes: Drummond returned three kickoffs for and average of 23 yards and also returned five punts for 35 yards. For the year he averaged 6.9 yards per punt return and 21.2 yards per kick return.

Bobby Engram (WR, SEA)
Score: Falcons 44, Seahawks 41.
Notes: Engram caught four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown as the Seahawks prepared for the playoffs. He ended the season, his finest as a pro, with 94 catches (11th NFL) for 1,147 yards (13th) and six touchdowns, all of which were career highs.

John Gilmore (TE, CHI)
Score: Bears 33, Saints 25.
Notes: Gilmore was inactive for the Bears’regular season finale. He ended the year with three catches for 14 yards.

Robbie Gould (K, CHI)
Score: Bears 33, Saints 25.
Notes: Gould converted an early 39-yard field goal and was 4 of 4 on extra points. For the year, he was 31-36 (86.1 percent) on field goals with a long of 49 yards and was 33 of 33 on extra points. He finished eighth in the league in scoring with 126 points.

Tamba Hali (DE, KC)
Score: Jets 13, Chiefs 10.
Notes: Hali had nine tackles and a sack in the season-ending loss. He was a consistent force on the Kansas City defensive line and finished the year with 58 tackles and 7.5 sacks as well as two forced fumbles and two passes defended.

Tony Hunt (RB, PHI)
Score: Eagles 17, Bills 9.
Notes: Hunt was active but did not play in the Eagles’ season finale. He played sparingly in 2007, carrying only 10 times for just 16 yards and one touchdown.

Bryant Johnson (WR, ARI)
Score: Cardinals 48, Rams 19 .
Notes: Johnson caught two passes for 10 yards in the season-ending win. For the year, he caught 46 passes for 528 yards and two touchdowns.

Ed Johnson (DT, IND)
Score: Titans 16, Colts 10.
Notes: Johnson had four tackles and a forced fumble in the loss. Johnson was a pleasant surprise for Indianapolis, which has a first round playoff bye. He ended his rookie campaign with 41 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble after being plugged into the lineup due to injuries.

Larry Johnson (RB, KC)
Score: Jets 13, Chiefs 10.
Notes: Johnson missed his eighth straight game with a foot injury. Johnson, who only played in eight games due to the injury, carried 158 times for 559 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 30 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown.

Joe Jurevicius (WR, CLE)
Score: Browns 20, 49ers 7.
Notes: Jurevicius caught one pass for 12 yards as the Browns won but still missed the playoffs thanks to the Tennessee win. He finished the year with 50 catches for 614 yards and three touchdowns.

Jeremy Kapinos (P, NYJ)
Score: Jets 13, Chiefs 10.
Notes: Kapinos did not play in the Jets’ regular season finale. In one game, Kapinos kicked five punts for an average of 41.6 yards, including two that were downed inside the 20.

Jimmy Kennedy (DT, CHI)
Score: Bears 33, Saints 25.
Notes: Kennedy was signed to replace the injured Adams and had two tackles in three games for Chicago.

Ethan Kilmer (DB, CIN)
Score: Bengals 38, Dolphins 25.
Notes: Kilmer barely played and was eventually put on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Calvin Lowry (S, TEN)
Score: Titans 16, Colts 10.
Notes: Lowry had three tackles as Tennessee beat Indianapolis and made it into the playoffs as the AFC's sixth seed. Lowry started 11 games for the Titans and recorded 57 tackles and grabbed two interceptions.

David Macklin (CB, WAS)
Score: Redskins 22, Giants 10.
Notes: Macklin played in Sunday's win that put the Redskins in the playoffs but did not record any stats. Macklin played in just six games in 2007 and finished with six tackles.

Sean McHugh (TE, DET)
Score: Packers 34, Lions 14.
Notes: McHugh caught two passes for seven yards. He emerged as Detriot's top tight end, starting 12 games and catching 17 passes for 252 yards (14.8 YPC).

Kareem McKenzie (OT, NYG)
Score: Patriots 38, Giants 35.
Notes: McKenzie and company almost kept the Patriots from going undefeated, but came up short in the end. New York will play this week against Tampa Bay in an NFC Wildcard game. McKenzie started all 16 games for the Giants and has been one of the leagues most durable tackles since his rookie year.

Paul Posluszny (LB, BUF)
Score: Eagles 17, Bills 9.
Notes: Posluszny played in only three games before breaking his arm in week three against New England. He tallied 26 tackles in those three games.

Michael Robinson (RB, SF)
Score: Browns 20, 49ers 7.
Notes: Robinson played but did not record any stats as the 49ers wrapped up a disappointing season with a loss. For the year, he carried 26 times for 121 yards and caught 11 passes for 73 yards.

Bryan Scott (DB, BUF)
Score: Eagles 17, Bills 9.
Notes: Scott started at safety and recorded six tackles and a forced fumble. In 15 games with the Bills this year, he had 28 tackles and one pass breakup.

Tim Shaw (LB, CAR)
Score: Panthers 13, Seahawks 10.
Notes: Shaw did not register any statistics in the season ending win. He saw limited action in 14 games and ended up with 14 tackles on the year.

Isaac Smolko (TE, JAC)
Score: Texans 42, Jaguars 28.
Notes: Smolko caught his first NFL pass (for five yards) in Sunday's loss for Jacksonville, which is preparing for a Wildcard showdown with Pittsburgh on Saturday. After signing with the Jags midseason, Smolko played in six games and caught just that 5-yard pass.

Tony Stewart (TE, OAK)
Score: Chargers 30, Raiders 17.
Notes: Stewart did not record any statistics in the loss. Stewart played in all 16 games for the Raiders but did not catch a pass this year.

Kenny Watson (RB, CIN)
Score: Browns 20, 49ers 7.
Notes: Watson had 21 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown and also caught one pass for 11 yards. He filled in admirably for Rudi Johnson for much of the season, carrying 178 times for 763 yards and seven touchdowns and also catching 52 passes for 374 yards.
