Catching Up With Vince Hall

Virginia's top linebacker Vince Hall has consistently listed the Nittany Lions in his top five. Did he enjoy his unofficial visit to State College? Do the Nittany Lions trail the Hokies for his services?

Name: Vince Hall
Position: LB
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 238 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.6
School: Western Branch HS, Chesapeake, VA

The best word to describe Vince Hall's current state is status quo. The star linebacker from undefeated (7-0) Western Branch HS in Chesapeake, Va., has not had any of the drastic changes in favorites that many high schoolers experience throughout their recruitment.

Sitting firm with eleven offers, Vince has been very consistent from interview to interview, as to who his top five were.

"I still have five favorites. Virginia Tech, Penn State, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Clemson. I've marked Maryland off."

Out his five favorites, Vince has already taken unofficial visits to Virginia Tech (for their game against Louisiana State) and Penn State (for their game against Nebraska). Virginia Tech will receive their second unofficial visit next Saturday, when the Hokies face their Big East rival, the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Does his second visit mean Virginia Tech leads over his other schools?

"No, they're even. It's just that a lot of people from West Branch go to Virginia Tech and they just think that I'm going there too."

What does Vince think about Penn State and State College?

"I like the surroundings and social life and everything around there. I didn't really get to see the campus because when we got there, the game was about to go on [during his unofficial visit]. But I've been there before during camp and I like it."

Vince has only scheduled one official visit so far, Tennessee on November 9th, but he will certainly take all five. From the sound of it, you can expect both the Hokies and Nittany Lions to be right there in the end.
