Limited Visit List For PSU This Week

With a dozen verbal commitments and expecting a class of between 16 and 18 members, quantity is not a concern as Penn State begins to play host to its final several weekends of official visits before letter-of-intent day.

Since spring semester classes began last Monday, the Nittany Lion staff waited until this weekend to begin playing host to January visitors. And only two players are slated to be on campus, according to our observers — Kenny Tate from DeMatha High in Hyattsville, Md., and A.J. Price from South Lakes High in Reston, Va.

Both players are wide receivers.

Tate is a 6-foot-4, 195-pounder who has earned a four-star rating from

"Kenny is up at Penn State right now," DeMatha coach Bill McGregor told's Cory James. "This will be Kenny's last visit. He visited Illinois and Maryland already. He will not be taking a visit to Florida.

"I will talk to Kenny when he gets back next week to see where he wants to go to school," the coach added. "We have talked to Comcast about televising his announcement next week, but the day and time are not set yet."

Price goes 6-4, 175, and despite carrying a one-star rating from holds offers from the Nittany Lions and Michigan.

As of this writing, Tate and Price were the only two players expected to make official visits to Happy Valley this weekend.
