Fergie to Help Get Blue-White Weekend Started

Grammy Award winner scheduled to perform at Beaver Stadium the Friday before the spring game.

There will be an interesting twist to Penn State's Blue-White weekend this year. For the first time, a major recording artist will be performing at Beaver Stadium the night before the game.

Fergie, who has enjoyed success as a solo artist and as a member of the group Black Eyed Peas, will do a show the evening of April 18 (the spring game is the following afternoon) as part of an event being called Gridiron Bash.

Get the lowdown on what the Gridiron Bash entails and how Penn State became part of the action in this audio interview with Shawn Garrity. Garrity is president of MSL Sports and Entertainment, which is conducting similar promotions at stadiums across the nation on the same weekend.

The interview is conducted by Pat Boland of ESPN Radio 1450 WMAJ in State College.
