Linebacker Michael Zordich has a mighty legacy to live up to with the Nittany Lions. Find out what he has to say about Penn State, Paterno, the Big 33 Classic and more.

HERSHEY, Pa -- Mention the name Michael Zordich to most Penn State fans, and the image that comes to mind is one of the Lions' 1985 All-American safety. Young Michael Zordich, a linebacker from Ohio powerhouse Cardinal Mooney, realizes he has work to do to create his own legacy in Happy Valley where the elder Zordich played on Paterno's first National Championship team before going on to a 12 year career in the NFL.

Zordich credits the family atmosphere at Penn State with his decision to call State College home for his collegiate career. Although fans of several schools speculated on his eventual destination, Penn State "just felt like where I should be," said the 235 pounder.

Still a high school player until he reports to Penn State next month, Zordich chanted "O-H-I-O" with his Big 33 teammates, including several bound for Big Ten rival Ohio State, but when asked what words he wanted to send out to fans and family back home, Zordich wasted no time in belting out "We Are..."

Zordich considers it an incredible honor to be selected for the Big 33 classic, and promises a few surprises for the Pennsylvania team when kickoff arrives at 7:00 PM Saturday night. has you covered for all the best coverage of the Big 33 Classic. Check out our other features here.
