Rice to Display Art Saturday

The former Nittany Lion will hold a show and autograph session in Happy Valley this weekend. A live painting session will be part of the fun.

Matthew Rice, former Penn State Defensive End of the 2005 Champion Season, will be returning to Penn State during this month's Festival of the Arts celebration in Happy Valley. Throughout the weekend he will be promoting his company, MateoBlu, which he has created to sell his art. 

Saturday (from noon until 4 p.m.) he will be at the Penn State All-Sports Museum at Beaver Stadium to hold an event focused on Penn State football and his art. The event will include an open gallery and live painting exhibit, artist talk session, and an autograph session with current and former Penn State football players such as Jay Alford, Aaron Maybin, Derrick Williams, Josh Gaines and Rice.

The schedule is as follows:
• Noon-2 p.m.: Open Gallery & Live Painting
• 2 p.m.-3 p.m.: Artist Talk Session
• 3 p.m.– 4 p.m.: Autograph Session

The All Sports Museum is located at the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium opposite the Bryce Jordan Center. A long canopy leading from Curtin Road marks the museum entrance. Doors will open at noon.
