SHORT REPORT: Lineman Leaving?

Multiple sources are reporting that a key backup on Penn State's O-line is considering his options.

Multiple sources are reporting to that Penn State redshirt freshman guard Josh Marks has taken a leave of absence from the program and is considering a transfer.

Our sources say no final decision has been made, though.

Marks is a 6-foot-4, 314-pounder out of Southern Columbia High in Catawissa, Pa. He redshirted as a true freshman at PSU in 2007.

Observers say he had drawn some criticism from the Nittany Lion coaching staff for not reporting to preseason camp in top shape.

BRENNAN'S TAKE: Marks seems like a good kid. Hopefully things come together for him, either at PSU or somewhere else. If he does leave, the Lions are looking at some depth issues at guard.

HARRINGTON'S TAKE: Yeah I really saw him as a good fit for Penn State's program and line. Best of luck to him, the loss would definitely be a blow to the OL depth.
