Zuttah Visits Penn State

Jeff Zuttah, a highly recruited offensive lineman from New Jersey, took an official visit to Penn State this weekend. How was his experience?

Name: Jeff Zuttah
Position: OL
Height: 6'4 1/2"
Weight: 279 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.95
Bench Press: 390 pounds
School: The Hun School, Princeton, NJ

Jeff took an official visit to Penn State this past weekend.

"It went well," Jeff said.  "It's a nice place.  It's a good school, you know, good education.  I thought the atmosphere was really, really good.

"I stayed with two freshmen, Jason Alford and Levi Brown.  I hung out with the players and stuff like that.  We went to the Fat Joe concert in the Hub."

The highlight of the weekend for Zuttah was, as expected, attending the Penn State/Michigan State game.

"It was cool watching Larry Johnson run for 2,000."

As always during an official visit, Jeff got the chance to talk with several members of the Nittany Lion coaching staff.  They are recruiting him to play guard.

"I talked to Coach Kenney, Coach Anderson, Coach Paterno and Coach Ganter.

"It's going to be a big linemen year because a couple of the kids they brought in last year (Borgoyn and Auletta) have gotten hurt."

Did the coaching staff tell him how many offensive linemen they are recruiting this year?

"They didn't give me exact numbers, but I really don't care about that because I'm coming in January anyway, so I'll be the first guy allocated."

Jeff gave the visit an 8 out of 10.

He took an official visit last weekend to Florida State.  He will visit Boston College this weekend followed by Notre Dame and Michigan.

He maintains that he does not have a favorite team.

Note: Jeff saw Dorien Bryant and Dan Mazan at the game.
