ChatCast, Happy Hour Slated for Friday

Whether or not you are coming to town for the Homecoming game with Michigan, we have events for you. Get the lowdown on how to improve your Penn State football experience this weekend.

Listen to the exclusive FOS ChatCast Friday at noon Eastern.

We'll give you plenty to chew on, as Mark Brennan, Penn State sports historian Lou Prato, Jeff “Ironhead” Byers and a cast of dozens do their online radio show from Old State Clothing in downtown State College.

The show starts at NOON and goes until … well … we run out of stuff to discuss. Previous guests on the ChatCast include Todd Blackledge, Michael Robinson, Jay Paterno, Tim Shaw, Jordan Norwood, Guido D'Elia, Anthony Scirrotto, Kim Herring, Blair Thomas and a bunch of other interesting people.

Anyone can listen to the ChatCast online. We'll post a link on our primary message board 15 minutes or so before it is scheduled to kick off.

If you are a TAP member, you can ask questions in real time by using the Chat function on our premium forum.

We will start streaming music at this link at about 11:45 p.m., and then transition into the show about noon.

And if you are in town, stop by.

Get to Old State.

A message board called the “Lion's Den?” Please.

As anyone who ever attended Penn State can tell you, there is only one true “Lion's Den.” It is the legendary bar on Garner Street in downtown State College.

And for the past two years, it has been the site of the FOS Friday Happy Hour. We're back at the real Den in 2008, too. will be at The Den on all Penn State football Fridays this season, arriving at 6 p.m. and hanging out at least until 8 p.m. Brennan, PlaybookMark, Ironhead and KYW News Radio reporter Matt Leon are among those slated to be on hand at the Happy Hour this week.

This is an extremely informal affair, a chance to put screen names to faces, enjoy great deals on drink and food, and talk Nittany Lion football. Stop by this week and say hello.

Get to The Den.

We will once again be setting up shop at the Visitors' Center near Beaver Stadium on Saturdays before home football games. Check out giant versions of some of our most recent covers.

And pick up the latest PSU football roster, so you can keep track of who is who in each game.
