Daryll Clark fielded questions Tuesday morning on his conference call. Here's a recap of his comments:

On the different wrinkles added to the offense:

"These are some things we have put in during the week. Jay Paterno goes to the board and adds some things we can use to go against the defense."

On what he took away from Wisconsin vs. Ohio State:

"I watched it. I was not paying attention to Ohio State. I watched the Wisconsin defense. They have good linebackers and a fast secondary. We watched more. We picked up on a lot of things we think we can exploit. We have to get ready to go up there and get a win."

On the improvement of Evan Royster:

"Patience. He knows when to hit the hole at the right time. He does a good job of using his pads to deliver a blow. He really does not go down after the first hit. I tell people all the time, I feel he is the total package — he can run block, pass block, rush and catch out of the backfield."

On the improvement of the offense in the second half of the season:

"Take last week. We could have put the foot on the neck against Purdue, but we didn't get...
