Terrell Golden and his parents took an official visit to Penn State last weekend.  This past weekend, they made the trip to Blacksburg to check out Virginia Tech.  Sophomore quarterback Bryan Randall was Golden's host.

"It was very fun," Terrell said. "I enjoyed it a lot.  I met a lot of the players on the team and I like the team morale.  It's a great school, very beautiful."

Terrell was one of 8 recruits at Virginia Tech this weekend.  Some weekend highlights included watching a practice session, attending a basketball game on Saturday night and getting a chance to talk to the coaching staff.

"They said I can come in and be a very influential part of their offense, come in and play early.  That's what they're looking for."

Terrell is done taking official visits.

"These are the only two that I want to take.  I'm probably going to make a decision sometime before Christmas."

Golden graded the visit an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.  How did the visit compare to the Penn State visit?

"I think the Penn State visit is always going to be more special than any visit I could've taken because it was my first one and I had never done it before.

"The Penn State visit was really good.  I enjoyed it a lot.  I enjoyed Virginia Tech a lot too, but there's just something about that first visit."

So, is Penn State his favorite right now?

"They have a slight edge, but I have yet to weigh all of my options."
