Running back Jason Evans has finally made a firm decision. Evans, from Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison High School, is one of the nation's top running back prospects. He committed to Penn State a while ago but still had the door open for Oklahoma and Stanford. He has now de-committed from Penn State and will attend Stanford.
"That was the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life," said Evans. "Penn State and Oklahoma were very classy when we told them. It just came down to where I would fit in best both on and off the field. I just felt more comfortable at Stanford, especially if you took football out of the equation. Academics were also a factor and I think their style of offense fits me better. I am more of a running back that excels running outside and catching passes out of the backfield, rather than a guys that pounds it between the tackles. Coach Teevins and Kelly were also awesome throughout the whole process. Stanford is just a great place and I will have an opportunity to play right away."
Evans, 6-1 and 190 pounds, is rated the #12 running back in the nation by TheInsiders.com.
