SHORT REPORT: Felder Update

The Maryland wideout sustained a knee injury last season. Will it impact his enrollement at Penn State? The Class of 2009 member gives the lowdown.

Oxon Hill, Md., receiver Brandon Felder committed to Penn State late last May. He appeared to be poised for a big senior season, but tore ligaments in his right knee during a preseason scrimmage and was forced to miss the entire year.

Felder signed his letter of intent with the Lions Feb. 4. But because he still has between six and nine months of rehab to do on the knee, he will delay his full-time enrollment at Penn State until January.

"Penn State was planning on giving me a redshirt season anyway," Felder told FOS staffer Tom McLaughlin. "But now I'll grayshirt and enroll in January. I just want to play."

McLaughlin's full story will run in the next issue of FOS The Magazine, our annual Recruiting Yearbook.
