Coxson Picks Penn State

The Nittany Lions added their third player to the Class of 2010 recently when Adrian Coxson announced his pledge. Check it out.

Perhaps it's fitting that after FOS Recruiting Analyst Cory James broke Paul Jones' reaffirmation of his commitment this past weekend that the Lions picked up one of the nation's top receiver prospects.

Adrian Coxson recently annoucned via Digital Sports that he has selected Penn State, becoming the third pledge in PSU's Class of 2010. The Scout four-star receiver had offers from Florida, Georgia, Notre Dame, Maryland, Michigan and Pitt.

Coxson visited Penn State this past weekend for the Blue-White Game. When asked about the basis for his decision he explained, "I felt like it was home, I felt good, I felt like it was the place for me."

He went on to say, "First of all they have good academics and plus my mother really liked it and thought it was the best place for me and I am going to take that into consideration."

Coxson was a standout in Scout's recent Baltimore Combine. Here is the assessment of his performance at the event:

Combine Rewind: Coxson is not a blazer, but he has game speed. He seems to just glide by people. When he is challenged he seems like he is playing faster. He is very physical and tough to jam. He has a ton of upside at the next level. He really reminded me a lot of Larry Fitzgerald at the same level, not a fast guy, but he goes up and gets the ball and his body is always in the right position to make the catch.

Coxson joins current pledges Paul Jones and Mike Hull in PSU's Class of 2010.
