Silas Redd was at Penn State to participate in Saturday's Nike Camp. As he told Fight On State at the event, he planned to meet with PSU's coaches at 8 a.m. Sunday about "making a decision." Well, that decision has been made.
Connecticut four-star running back prospect attended the Penn State
Nike Camp Saturday. As he told FOS
after the event, his plan was to meet with Penn State coaches on Sunday at 8 am to finalize his decision.
Not surprisingly, Redd shared his decision to play his collegiate football at Penn State with the Lion coaches during the Sunday morning meeting.
Redd becomes the fourth member of PSU's Class of 2010, all of whom are Scout four- and five-star prospects, including QB Paul Jones (5-star), WR Adrian Coxson (4-star), LB Mike Hull (4-star).
Redd selected PSU over UConn, Rutgers and Virginia. Stay tuned to FOS for more on his decision.
As one program observer shared regarding the pledge, "This may be the best start [to recruiting] we've had in a long while. It should be fun to see the after-effects. Room is tight and a lot of top guys are showing interest."
After the Nike Camp, Jones told FOS, "I'm looking forward to playing with [Redd] in college."
