Dieffenbach Talks PSU Pledge

The Nittany Lions continued their recruiting roll with the Class of 2010 when they picked up a pledge from Western Pennsylvanian lineman Miles Dieffenbach on Tuesday.

Originally thought to be a shoe-in pledge for Pittsburgh, Miles Dieffenbach reversed course on Tuesday when he opted for the Nittany Lions. As he explained, "I was up at Penn State with my parents today to visit with Coach Bradley. Everything just really felt right and he took me in to meet with Coach (Joe) Paterno and I decided to commit in front of him.

"It was pretty cool because Coach Paterno and Coach Bradley were sitting down and they both jumped up out of their seat when I committed. Coach Paterno then yelled a lion's roar and told me that we are going to need to teach you to roar like a lion. It was really cool."

Dieffenbach talked about his possible future position, saying, "Penn State said they like me on the interior offensive line, at either guard or center. I am going to try to work with Coach Bradley to help recruit for us as best as I can. Penn State has a really good class going so far and I hope that we can keep this going. Right now, I think this class can do some special things."
