Q&A: Rubin Making Adjustments

Former Nittany Lion safety Mark Rubin is catching on with the St. Louis Rams. Get an update from Rubin on how he's adjusting, where he's playing and his former PSU and current Ram teammate Justin King.

Mark Rubin may have etched his presence in the minds of PSU fans for decades to come for punching out the turnover that led to the Nittany Lion upset of Terrelle Pryor and Ohio State last season.

We recently caught up with former Penn State safety who is practicing with the St. Louis Rams, who is working to make an impression on the Rams' program and elevate his game to the professional level. See what the former PSU standout had to say about the move and more.

FOS: Mark, how is the St. Louis program treating you?

Rubin: It's been going really well. The coaches and veterans have been great. Coach Spagnuolo is awesome.

FOS: We're do they have you primarily working in practice?

Rubin: I have seen most of my practice work at strong safety.

FOS: How has the adjustment to the speed of the game been? Do you find it to be really different?

Rubin: Adjusting physically hasn't been too bad. Getting all the checks and plays is the biggest part to adjust to. It can be a challenge when you couple that with the speed of the game.

FOS: Has it helped you to have you former PSU secondary teammate Justin King on the team?

Rubin: Oh yeah, it's been a big help for me. He's been great with helping me to make the adjustment [to the pros] as easy as possible.

FOS: How is King doing -- is he fully recovered from his toe injury which sidelined him last season?

Rubin: Justin is 100 percent now.
