PLAYBOOK HD: Royster Touchdown

Check out our breakdown of the tailback's second-quarter scoring run against Temple. See what the line did right and how Royster fought to get into the end zone.

Penn State faced a third and 4 from the Temple 7 in the second quarter of a game at Beaver Stadium Saturday.

Instead of passing, the Lions ran a draw to tailback Evan Royster, and it was the perfect call. Temple was dropping its linebackers into coverage, and Royster had plenty of running room.

The first down was a given. But the play did not initially appear as if it would go for a score. Yet thanks to great blocking and a strong effort by Royster, the Lions did indeed reach paydirt.
