Now a senior captain, he was a special-teams cover man when State dropped a heartbreaker to the Wolverines in 2005, a game that cost the otherwise unbeaten Lions a shot at the national title.
He was also a starter on the PSU club that bumbled its way to a loss in Ann Arbor in 2007.
Lee is the only member of the current Penn State outfit who played in both losses. And that probably explained the smile on his face as he left the field following PSU's 35-10 throttling of Michigan here Saturday night, it first road win vs. the Wolverines since 1996.
