Big Recruiting Weekend on Tap

Penn State plays host to the Buckeyes this weekend, however the Nittany Lions are also expected to play host to a variety of recruiting prospects. Get the latest here from FOS Recruiting Analyst Cory James.

With a big late-season game like Saturday's against Ohio State, Penn State is expected to use the event to show a host of recruiting prospects what makes the Nittany Lions gameday atmosphere, program and fans so special.

Keep in mind that things related to recruiting visits change regularly, so list is likely not finalized. However, among the Class of 2010 prospects who are expected to trek to Happy Valley include:

Marcus Lattimore
Michael Thornton
Eric Franklin
Karrington Griffin
Ray Vinopal
Alex Zordich

Among the expected Class of 2011 prospects visiting are:

Terrell Chestnut
Kyshoen Jarrett
Maika Polamalu
Jameel Poteat

There is also at least one Class of 2012 prospect expected to stop by the game:

Deaysean Rippy

There is also a large group of Class of 2010 pledges expected to take in Saturday's game in Beaver Stadium, including:

Miles Dieffenbach
Luke Graham
Evan Hailes

DaQuan Jones
Paul Jones
Alex Kenney
Silas Redd
Tom Ricketts
Dakota Royer

There are likely other unconfirmed pledges who will be among this group this weekend.

As an aside two prospects of interest who will not make the game are Sharrif Floyd and Kenny Stills.

As Mark Brennan reported earlier this week, several top basketball prospects are also expected to visit PSU this weekend.
