RECRUITING: Official Review

After a busy recruiting week on the road for many Penn State coaches, the staff is back on campus to host several Penn State Class of 2010 pledges for their official visits.

This past week Penn State coaches were on the road making visits to several Nittany Lion pledges and prospects, including:

Robert Bolden: visited by Ron Vanderlinden
Adrian Coxson: visited by Larry Johnson and Mike McQueary
Miles Dieffenbach: visited by Tom Bradley
Luke Graham: visited by Tom Bradley
Mike Hull: visited by Tom Bradley
Paul Jones: visited by Tom Bradley and Jay Paterno
Marcus Lattimore: visited by Bill Kenney (second trip by Kenney in as many weeks)
CJ Olaniyan: visited by Ron Vanderlinden
Tom Ricketts: visited by Tom Bradley

Now the majority of coaches are scheduled to be back on campus to host several Penn State pledges who are expected to be in Happy Valley for their official visits to see what the Nittany Lions have to offer them as student-athletes.

Among the Class of 2010 pledges expected are:

Robert Bolden (QB)
Miles Dieffenbach (OL)
Khairi Fortt (LB)
Luke Graham (OL)
Mike Hull (LB)
DaQuan Jones (DL)
Paul Jones (QB)
Alex Kenney (WR)
Levi Norwood (WR)
C.J. Olaniyan (DL)
Silas Redd (RB)
Thomas Ricketts (OL)

Getting several pledges on campus together for a "group huddle" has been a tactic Penn State has used over the past several years. "This is an opportunity for these guys to get together and bond a little. [The staff] wants them to get to know each other and focus some on the future," one observer explained.

Two PSU pledges who have had Lion fans curious abdout the commitments given their recent recruiting visits are Adrian Coxson (Florida) and Dominique Easley (Oregon). Neither is expected to be at Penn State this weekend.

The pledges not slated to be on campus this weekend seemingly have prior commitments, including Zach Zwinak and Dakota Royer who have playoff games this weekend.
