BY THE NUMBERS: Daryll Clark

The final Penn State drive of the Capital One Bowl not only clinched another bowl victory for the Nittany Lions, but also capped an impressive career for Daryll Clark.

It hard to argue that Daryll Clark hasn't had an impressive career in Happy Valley. Although some are saying Friday's Capital One Bowl helped secure his legacy in the PSU annals, the numbers he put up over the course of two seasons as a starter seem to make that statement for him.

Looking at his numbers, Daryll Clark:

  • finished his Penn State career with a 22-4 record (84.6%) as a starter.

  • has the best record for a Nittany Lion multiple-season starting signal-caller since John Shaffer compiled a 23-1 record (1985-86). Kerry Collins (1991-94) and Wally Richardson (1992-96) were 21-5 as starters.

  • became the first Nittany Lion quarterback to pass for 3,000 yards passing in a season.

  • passed for 200+ yards in 14 games over of his career, two shy of the Penn State record of 16 set by Kerry Collins and Zack Mills.

  • ends his career as Penn State's third all-time career passer with 5,742 career passing yards.

  • completed 232 passes this season, just two shy of the single season mark of 234 set by Anthony Morelli in 2007.

  • ends his career as PSU's third all-time in career pass completions (444).

  • passed Michael Robinson (3,156 in 2005) for the Penn State single-season total offense record with 3,214 yards this season.

  • Clark finished his career with 6,361 yards of total offense, second all-time at Penn State.

  • hit a 37-yard touchdown strike to Derek Moye in the bowl game for his 24th TD pass of the season and 43rd of his career, both Penn State records.

  • completed his career with a record total 31 touchdowns (24 pass, 7 run) and 61 (39 pass, 22 rush) for his career.

  • has 489 yards passing in bowl games (273 in Rose, 216 in Capital One) good for the fourth-best total all-time at Penn State. His 39 pass completions in bowl games are second only to Kerry Collins' 46.
