Check out the four-man squads that will be competing in Friday's event at Holuba Hall. This is the eighth year of LFL, which is staged by the PSU football chapter of Uplifting Athletes and helps the fight against kidney cancer.
The Penn State
football team's signature summer event is scheduled for Friday at Holuba Hall on campus. The eighth annual Life For Life Challenge, where teams of four square off in a series of grueling strength and conditioning drills, will kick off at 2 p.m.
The first team up is "We Pay to Play," which is comprised entirely of walk-ons. A different team then goes off every 15 minutes.
As of Wednesday afternoon, 19 teams were slated to take part on the event.

Staged by the Nittany Lion football program's chapter of Uplifting Athletes, Lift For Life is open to the public. It is the perfect opportunity to see the athletes up close and for kids to get autographs from their favorite players.
All money raised from the event goes to the Kidney Cancer Association. Lift For Life has a chance to eclipse half a million dollars in all-time earnings this year.
Fans are also encourage to back their favorite players via donations.
