Miami came out with a no-huddle offense, setting the pace for the game, in a 31-3 win over Pitt at Heinz Field on Thursday night.
Miami outgained Pitt 348-232, even though Pitt held a slight edge on the ground, 128-100.
Jacory Harris threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns, completing 21-of-32 passes, with two interceptions. His Pitt counterpart, Tino Sunseri, completed 8-of-15 passes for 61 yards, and was sacked three times.
Pat Bostick came on in relief of Sunseri, completing 5-of-9 passes for 43 yards with two interceptions.
Pitt linebacker Dan Mason went down with a dislocated right knee in the third quarter. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian for further evaluation.
