According to a report in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Pitt head football coach Michael Haywood has posted 10 percent of his $10,000 bond, and was released from jail on Saturday afternoon.
"It isn't fair," Haywood told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "The truth will eventually come out."
Haywood was released 24 hours after he was arrested for domestic abuse of a woman at a South Bend home in what is being classified as a custody issue.
The University released a statement Friday night saying it would not comment on the matter until more complete information is gathered.
