Pitt's football coaching search is not over just yet. Amidst reports in Pittsburgh that Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley had been named head coach, Pitt's athletic department released a statement Wednesday night confirming that the head coaching job has not been offered to anyone.
"The University of Pittsburgh has not offered its head coaching position to anyone, and no decisions about an offer have been made."
Numerous reports in Pittsburgh circulated Wednesday that Bradley was offered the job and accepted. Mark Madden, radio talk show host at WXDX FM in Pittsburgh reported it on his Wednesday show. WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh had it on its website Wednesday night.
