Ryles Ready For Pitt Visit

Orlando (FL) Dr. Phillips High School's Rodrick Ryles one of three Florida standouts to visit Pittsburgh this weekend.

Rodrick Ryles is a 6-1, 192-pound safety out of Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida. Back in September, after an official visit to Arkansas, Ryles toned down his recruitment.

Things have heated up in recent weeks, as he will look to take an official visit to Pittsburgh this weekend, followed by an official to West Virginia next weekend.

Ryles said the contact with Pitt came up fairly recently. Tony Gibson is recruiting him.

"I sent out my highlight tape," Ryles said. "Pitt was one of the schools. They called me, and told me to come up there and visit."

Ryles has never been to Pittsburgh, so naturally, he will be all questions this weekend.

"I'm really looking forward to it," Ryles said. "I want to check out all of the facilities and tour the campus."

In addition to not knowing too much about the city or the campus, Ryles said he's also all ears about learning more about Pitt's program, style of play, as well as its tradition and history.

"I really don't know too much about them," Ryles said. "I'm going to ask them a lot of questions this weekend."

In addition to Pitt and West Virginia, Ryles has interest from Washington State, Michigan and Michigan State.
