Anderson Gains More Interest

More Big Ten visits on the horizon for Kent (OH) Roosevelt's Ryan Anderson

Ryan Anderson took three unofficial trips to games at Pitt this fall, but says so far, he has yet to hear from the new coaching staff.

"I haven't heard from the new coaching staff at all," Anderson added. "I guess they're starting from square one. I'm definitely still willing to get to know them. It's still the same school, just a different coaching staff."

Even though he's still open to hearing from Pitt, some new schools have entered the picture. Indiana recently offered, and Anderson also took an unofficial trip up to Michigan State.

"This winter, I've only been to Michigan State," Anderson said. "I went there this past weekend. I'd say it was really far (from home), but I liked the campus. That's all I've really been to this winter. They said they're going to offer this summer after they watch me more and get to know me more."

In addition to those two Big Ten schools, Anderson has been invited up to Wisconsin for a junior day, but he's not sure if he'll be able to get up there for it. Michigan and Notre Dame are possibilities.

"Other than (Michigan State), I haven't really set anything up yet," Anderson said. "I'll probably get some (junior day visits) set up. I'll probably go to Michigan's junior day. I'm sure I'll go to Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and maybe Notre Dame."

This past season, Anderson earned first-team all-state in Ohio for Division II on the offensive line.
