Troy Beddoe has been invited to nearby schools such as Buffalo and Syracuse, but he's had to put any college visits on hold right now due to track season. Beddoe, a 6-1, 220-linebacker recruit, has track season going on, and will put his recruiting on hold for a little bit.
"My high school coach said there will be a lot of (college coaches) coming in after spring practices," Beddoe said. "I got invited to Buffalo's junior day, Syracuse's junior day. I'm supposed to be going to Syracuse on April 16. I couldn't make the others. I'm going to Rutgers for a camp, and Syracuse for a camp."
Beddoe competes in the 100, the 200 and the 4x100 relay. So far, he's run the 100-meter run in 11.7 seconds through one meet.
Pitt is also another school he'd like to get to at some point, but like the others, it might not be until summer before he is able to get anywhere.
"Yeah, I've been getting a lot of letters from Pitt," Beddoe said. "I was going to go for a game last fall, but it was our homecoming game, so I couldn't get there."
Beddoe finished with 90 tackles as a junior, three sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and an interception. He also earned all-league and all-metro honors.
