This year's spring scrimmage will pit a Blue team against a Gold team, as opposed to the offense scoring its points, and the defense getting points for sacks, tackles for losses, three and outs and turnovers. This year's spring game will look more like a real football game.
Gates will open at Heinz Field at 12 noon. Starting at 12:30, the Pitt football players will be in charge of a youth clinic on the field, which has been done in the past. Youth in grades eight and under, are permitted to participate.
Then, at 2 pm, the Panthers will take the field for their annual Blue-Gold scrimmage, the first of the Todd Graham era.
