Jones Gets The Offer He Wants

Corey Jones has added two Big East offers in the past week, included a much-coveted one from his hometown team.

Corey Jones recently picked up his sixth offer. This one came from the University of Pittsburgh. Jones previously held offers from West Virginia, Kansas, Toledo, Kent State and Cincinnati.

"Yeah, it was on Saturday," Jones said. "They called, and they saw my highlight tape. After seeing it, they said they were really interested."

Over the last few weeks, following the Badger Sports 7-on-7 combine in Pittsburgh, and the Penn State Nike Camp two weeks ago, it sounded as if the Panthers were getting close to offering the 5-10 receiver. Jones is being recruited by passing defense coordinator Tony Gibson.

"It's very exciting," Jones said of the new offer. "I like it a lot. That was a big thing. That's what I was waiting for. They're definitely in my top five."

Up next for Jones is a trip to the Midwest for another 7-on-7 passing camp with his Western PA Swag team—either Detroit or Chicago.
