Gonzalez Suspended Indefinitely

Anthony Gonzalez, who was the offensive recipient of the Ed Conway Award, has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Todd Graham

A little over a month after the end of spring football, Pitt head coach Todd Graham is faced with his first suspension of the offseason.

Pitt announced late Tuesday night that redshirt freshman quarterback Anthony Gonzalez has been suspended indefinitely by Graham for a violation of team rules.

Gonzalez completed 9-of-26 passes for 82 yards, with two interceptions. After the spring game, Graham commented on Gonzalez' progress through the spring, expecting the redshirt freshman to make an impact.

Anthony Gonzalez was another winner for us," Graham said after the spring game. "Anthony just keeps getting better, he just does everything right. As he develops physically and gets stronger, I think that he's going to be a special player."

No further information was provided on Gonzalez incident.
