Hairston Camps At Pitt

Nathan Hairston had four interceptions as a junior at corner, and also played receiver on offense. He was an all-county selection at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Maryland.

Maryland receiver Nathan Hairston is in the middle of his camp schedule. He kicked off his summer with a trip to Pittsburgh for their camp, and also went to Temple. He also has a trip to Wake Forest's camp set for next month.

At his first camp in Pittsburgh, Hairston got some good feedback from the Pitt coaching staff.

"Pitt, I liked their campus a lot," Hairston said. "I like them a lot. I went there and did really well. I talked to the coaches a little bit after the camp, and they said they really liked me."

The best part of the camp for Hairston was the drills, where he picked up a few things he'd like to pass on to his teammates.

"I'll definitely be keeping in touch with them," Hairston added. "I learned a lot to do with footwork, a few footwork drills, how to keep my feet fast."

After camping at Temple, Hairston feels the Owls—out of all the schools he's had contact with—are the closest to offering him.

"I went to Temple recently, they've been talking to me a little bit," Hairston said. "They're waiting for me to send in film before they do anything. They said they want to offer after they see my film."

Aside from the Wake Forest camp, Hairston will participate at a few 7-on-7 tournaments with his team, including one at Towson University.
