Gallo Closer To Decision

P.J. Gallo talks about his most recent visit, and if he's ready to narrow down his list.

Holland (PA) Council Rock South tight end P.J. Gallo is sitting on 12 offers, and could be getting closer to a decision. Recently, the 6-4, 235-pound standout took a visit to North Carolina.

"As far as summer trips, I have made it to North Carolina, and that's it, actually," Gallo said. "In the spring, I was able to get out to about six or seven schools.

"North Carolina is beautiful, it's really nice. It's a nice area. The facilities at UNC are awesome. It was a nice trip."

Without any more summer plans, as far as unofficial visits, Gallo said it might be coming to a time for him to make his college decision. With all schools about even, he expects to spend the next month or so narrowing down his list.

"I'm up to 12 offers, and I think it might be coming to a close pretty soon," Gallo said. "I'm not sure when, but I feel the offers have stopped coming in. I like the offers I have, so I'm going to narrow it down and make a decision.

"I try and keep in contact with most of the schools. There's a lot of handwritten letters that come through. I try and keep in contact with Facebook and some e-mail. I also call some of the coaches every now and then."

Pitt is one of his offers, a school he's been impressed with throughout because of the in-state offer. He keeps in touch with the Pitt staff, and says they are a school in the mix.

"I think we talked about when we were going to meet again in person," Gallo added. "There's a chance to make it back out to Pitt in the summer. As far as when, I'm not sure. I did talk to them a couple of weeks ago. They are high on my list."
