Pat Sandle returns to Pitt basketball

Pat Sandle is returning to coach at Pitt after spending the last two years coaching at UCLA with Steve Lavin. <br><br>

Sandle coached previously at Pitt under coach Howland from 1999-01. He was responsible for coaching the guard positions, player development, on-campus recruiting, conditioning, scouting, and academic progress. He also coached under Howland at Northern Arizona from 1996-99.

Known for his intense practices and getting the most out of his players' talents, Sandle has 18 years coaching experience, including nine at the division-1 level.

Sandle was an excellent player during his collegiate years (1982-84) at San Francisco State University. He is a member of the school's athletic hall of fame. Sandle played one year professionally in Spain. Brian Gold
