Pitt was the first to offer defensive tackle Tyrique Jarrett. With a month left in his summer before training camp starts, Jarrett says the Panthers have stayed in close contact.
"Pitt, they still stay in touch," Jarrett said. "I have been down there couple months ago, just to meet the coaching staff. I talk with (defensive line) coach (Paul) Randolph, but not recently because he's on vacation."
Since the Pitt offer, two new Big East schools have thrown offers to Jarrett.
"UConn, and I landed one from Cincinnati too," Jarrett added. "I hear a lot from UConn, and I hear a lot from Cincinnati. Their new head coach tries to stay in touch with me."
Jarrett is spending the next month just gearing up for training camp, which starts on August 16 for him.
"Just conditioning and lifting, trying to go for the City League title," Jarrett adds.
There's only one school he may visit over the next month; a possible trip to West Virginia.
