Big Summer For Coleman

DaJuan Coleman fits right in with the competition at the LeBron James Skills Academy and the Peach Jam.

Dajuan Coleman has been to the LeBron James Skills Academy three years in a row, including the 2011 one. In addition to that, he was also at the Peach Jam in South Carolina over the weekend.

Still an honor to be invited to the Skills Academy once again, Coleman feels comfortable in this type of competitive atmosphere.

"I think with going there the last three years, it's still an accomplishment," Coleman said. "They still want me, so I must be getting better. That's a real accomplishment, right there, for me.

"This is definitely the highest competition. AAU is definitely good competition too. School-ball; it's not good individual competition, but it's definitely good, team competition. It's definitely the best, though."

In addition to his AAU schedule for preparing him to compete on such a national stage, Coleman talked about his strength and conditioning program. Included in that is swimming, which makes the 6-8 big body all the more attractive of a recruit.

"People don't really know about it, they might know about it, but swimming is definitely a good way to conditioning your body," Coleman said. "I got a strength and conditioning coach. I do swimming, running; basically that all helps me out."

Coleman will have a tough choice when picking his school, but he plans on taking his official visits before making a decision. Though Pitt was thought to be one of the schools taking a look at him, he has a couple of other Big East schools that he will focus his attention on.

"Syracuse, UConn, Kentucky, Villanova, Ohio State, North Carolina, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Florida," Coleman answered, when asked which schools have shown the most interest in him. "Pitt, they didn't really contact me like that before, so I never really heard much from them. I definitely am going to take all my visits before I commit."
