No Movement On Hester

Penn Hills (PA) offensive guard Treyvon Hester stands firm with four offers, while waiting to hear from others.

Treyvon Hester is counting down the days until his Penn Hills team starts its training camp. In the meantime, he sits with four offers from Kent State, UMass, Temple and Toledo, hoping for others.

"I haven't actually gotten any new offers, but I'm still waiting for a couple call backs," Hester said. "We'll see what they want to do."

One of those schools he is waiting to hear from is Pittsburgh. He hasn't heard from the coaching staff recently, as several coaches are away on vacation. He is hoping to get to a few Pitt games this fall.

"They've been sending me a couple letters, just mostly talking about the season, and their schedule," Hester said. "I haven't talked to their coaches or anyone recently. I am waiting to hear from them. Hopefully, they do get in contact with me."

He has also heard from West Virginia a little.

"I get letters from West Virginia too," Hester added. "They were going to come up and watch me practice one of these days. They want to see how I look, see my physical form. I've gotten letters like that from West Virginia and Temple."

Aside from recruiting, Hester is looking forward to a successful senior season, where he is joined by three-star prospects Chaz Whittaker and Corey Jones. Hester believes with the kind of senior leadership his team has, the Indians could have a very good year.

"The team is looking real strong," Hester said. "We have a couple seniors ready to lead the team for a good season. We have a whole new offensive scheme this year. We're starting to connect. Everything should fall into place."
