Pitt Basketball Non-Conference Schedule

Panthers will play in the HoopGroup Classic, Madison Square Garden Classic and Big East/SEC Challenge as part of non-conference schedule

Pitt announced its 2011-12 non-conference basketball schedule today. Their home-opener will be November 11 against Albany. All home game times have yet to be determined.

The Panthers will also take part in the HoopGroup Classic. Games against LaSalle (Novembe 22) and Robert Morris (November 27) will be part of the Classic, but the event will be highlighted by a trip to the Palestra on November 25, where Pitt will take on Penn.

In addition to the annual City Game, which will be played on November 30 this year, the Panthers travel to Tennessee for the Big East/SEC Challenge this year. They'll face Oklahoma State a week later in the Madison Square Garden Classic.

Pitt's Big East schedule has yet to be announced, but they do know their home game with Louisville is set for January 21, as ESPN's College GameDay will be televising from the Petersen Events Center that day.
