Lutcher (LA) running back Daniel Taylor scored five touchdowns in his team's opening scrimmage; three rushing and two receiving. Taylor's Lutcher team opened the regular season with a 14-6 loss at Destreahan on Thursday night.
"Yeah, we're just showing our strength," Taylor said of his team's performance in the opening scrimmage.
Aside from getting the regular season underway, Taylor is starting to think about official visits. He recently said that Pittsburgh would be one of them. Now, the battle is trying to figure out which game.
"I'm coming to Pittsburgh for one of the big rivalry games, but I don't know which one I'm coming too," Taylor said. "That's the (school) I have in mind (for an official visit). I'm looking forward to it."
Taylor said that his contact with Pitt dropped off during the summer, then picked back up again.
"I heard from them a couple weeks ago," Taylor added. "I talked to (receivers) coach (Mike) Norvell. He was just telling me that they are going to start communicating with me more. We weren't communicating as much as we used to, but we started talking again. We're both pretty busy right now."
Taylor said in addition to Pitt, he plans on taking an official visit to Ole Miss. Up next for the Bulldogs, a trip to Dutchtown on September 2.
