Adam Bisnowaty had a lot of good things to say about his Pitt official visit over the weekend. On Thursday, he decided to make it official as he committed to Pitt. Bisnowaty becomes the 16th verbal commit of the 2012 Pitt recruiting class. He informed the coaches of his decision today.
"It's exciting, it feels like I just lifted a big boulder off my back," Bisnowaty said of making his decision. "Now, I'm just looking forward to getting my season done, and start working out for Pitt. Hopefully, we'll be able to get some more local kids on the train, and hopefully just get it going."
Much bigger than getting another big name from the WPIAL, Bisnowaty comes in as a much-needed offensive line commit. In the end, though, he said it was his connection with the coaching staff that put Pitt over the top.
"They were real excited when I told them," Bisnowaty said. "Coach (Bob) Junko, he was jumping up and down. Coach (Todd) Graham said he was real excited. Really, just the people there; it's just being around good people. They're going to be recruiting people similar to myself. They're good people. That's what really stuck out. It was a really good choice.
Bisnowaty, a three-star prospect, comes to Pitt as the nation's No. 46 offensive lineman. Florida was his other finalist. He also chose the Panthers over offers from Connecticut, Penn State, Michigan State, Virginia and West Virginia.
