Daniel Taylor rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-12 Lutcher win over Belaire last Friday night. The Bulldogs are 7-1 on the season, and according to Taylor, are looking to finish out the regular season strong in gearing up for the playoffs.
"We're still in the regular season right now, with two more games," Taylor said. "(Their playoff seeding) will come down to that last game."
He also explained out the state playoffs work.
"We have one game after our district (championship)," Taylor said. "The district champion then gets the highest seed, then it goes by power points. Basically, our whole state is one classification, and we're in the top 30 of our classification for playoffs."
Taylor, who crossed the 5,000-yard mark for his career just two games game, hasn't set up any official visits yet. Pittsburgh is still a possibility, as he keeps in touch with Pitt receivers coach Mike Norvell.
"I haven't had any visits yet, I haven't been anywhere yet," Taylor said. "Pitt, they're still in the mix. I talk to coach Norvell every now and then; he is just checking on me."
