Cox adds Notre Dame and UA Bowl Invite

Demetrious Cox finally picked up the offer that he was expecting earlier this year, along with an invitation to the Under-Armour All-American Bowl.

Jeannette (Pa.) four-star safety Demetrious Cox informed that he recently received his Notre Dame offer.

"I just wanted to let you know that Notre Dame has offered me," Cox stated. "Charley Molnar is the coach that is recruiting me."

Cox visited Notre Dame in the summer and was expecting to be offered at that time.

"I was a little surprised at how late it was when they offered," stated Cox. "I'm still excited to have another great opportunity. When Coach Molnar called and said they were offering, he said he was sorry and that it is a long process."

The four-star safety also recently found out that he was invited to participate in the Under-Armour All-American Bowl. He has also been chosen to play in the Semper Fidelis Marine Bowl.

"Under-Armour did invite me, but I already committed to the Marine Bowl," explained Cox. "I know the Under-Armour game is great, but I won't decommit from the Marine Bowl, I can't do that."

Cox and his Jayhawk teammates are unbeaten and they will take on Shady Side Academy and Wisconsin commit Reggie Mitchel tonight in a WPIAL second-round playoff contest at Norwin High School.

Lichtenfels is in his 8th year with and has developed into one of the most respected scouts in the business.
