Brecksville-Broadview Heights (OH) quarterback Tommy Tupa holds three offers, but is starting to pick up even more interest with some additional schools coming in this week to watch him workout.
"As of right now, I have three offers, and this week, Indiana, Western Michigan and Buffalo are all coming in to watch me throw," Tupa said. "Wisconsin i s supposed to come in and watch me throw on May 22. They are supposed to bring their quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. Iowa is also coming to my school, and West Virginia is coming in too."
Tupa says it is a lot of interest, and he understands how things are picking up for him at this point in his recruitment. He places an even greater emphasis on the workouts since coaches don't have much film to go off of, since he missed much of his sophomore year due to injury.
"It's all coming on pretty heavy," Tupa said. "I lost my junior year to injury, so I'm kind of behind in the process. Theres not much film to go off of. It's hard, and it's kind of overwhelming, but it's not bad."
Pittsburgh is another school he expects to see come in with the interest.
"Pitt, I get letters from them every week," Tupa adds. "It started off as a , 'hey, you're one of our top prospects, we'd like for you to come in.' Now, I get random letters from them every week, each week. They're definitely in the picture. I'm not sure if they plan to come in and watch me throw. I hope they do."
Up next for Tupa will be the Elite 11 camp in Columbus this coming week, in conjunction with the Nike Football Training Camp. Tupa is not sure yet which prospect camps he may attend, but he expects to participate in a number of 7-on-7s with his team.
