Donald On Lombardi Watch List

Pitt junior Aaron Donald is on three preseason watch lists, including the Lombardi Watch List; announced on Tuesday.

The preseason watch list recognition continues for junior defensive lineman Aaron Donald. Donald is one of 150 collegiate football players on the Lombardi Watch list. The Lombardi award is given annually to the nation's top lineman (offense or defense) or linebacker.

In two years, Donald has appeared in all 26 games of two-year career thus far, including five starts last year. He was named a second-team All-American as a sophomore, after racking up 47 tackles, including 16 for losses. Donald also finished with 11 sacks, 11 quarterback hurries and a forced fumble. Last week, Donald was named to the Maxwell Award and Outland Trophy watch lists. Hugh Green is the lone Pitt Panther to ever win the Lombardi; capturing the award in 1980.
